PRESENTED BY DR. GILLIES, THE PSYCHOLOGIST/ PSYCHOANALYST WHO FOUNDED THE INTERPERSONAL
THERAPY CLINIC AT THE CLARKE INSTITUTE OF PSYCHIATRY. DR. GILLIES COMES HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
AS A TEACHER AND PRESENTER.
The workshop will provide an overview of IPT strategies and techniques.
Specifically, you will learn to:
- assess depression and provide information to clients on an interpersonal approach to
treatment
- evaluate and make use of the client's interpersonal network
- choose a focal area for intervention (grief,isolation,disputes,transitions)
- use strategies and techniques of IPT
