About ANP

The Association of Newfoundland Psychologists is an affiliative organization for psychologists and others interested in psychological research and practice.

Membership in the Association of Newfoundland Psychologists is not required for the purpose of registration in Newfoundland and Labrador and the ANP does not regulate practitioners.



Purpose of ANP

The ANP was established to support the profession of psychology and its role in promoting mental health and human welfare.

The objectives for which this association is founded are:

  1. To uphold the Canadian Code of Ethics for psychologists.
  2. To promote the training and continuing education of psychologists.
  3. To advocate for the availability and provision of psychological services to the public.
  4. To provide information to the public.
  5. To promote communication between psychologists throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
  6. To represent the psychologists of Newfoundland and Labrador to relevant national associations and to participate in national discussions of issues concerning psychology.
